Go skateboarding day 2015

Yesterday was go skateboarding day, so I decided to drag the family all the way up to Saffron Walden in essex to the one minet skatepark.
So after getting up early to sort out the kids, make the picnic and a quick stop at mcdonalds we were on our way.
It was get active day at the lord butler leisure centre, which is in front of the skatepark so there was plenty on throughout the day.
Live bands kept the atmosphere quite chilled out with their music, but they were good none the less.
It was my boys first outing to this place and im sure it wont be their last.  My eldest was skating for five hours straight while my youngest had his scooter and pretty much kept going for the same amount of time!
Competitions were happening throughout the day with scooters and BMX, but the highlight for me being a skateboarder was of course the skate comp, it didnt dissapoint with some absolute bangers going down, especially from Joe Hinson, 360 flip 50/50 down the hubba anyone!
All in all go skateboarding day rad having the family there.  My wife got some pics of us and even a bit of footage of my trademark heelflip.
